Westminster Abbey

We couldn't contain our excitement as we stepped through the grand entrance of Westminster Abbey. The history and beauty of this iconic landmark overwhelmed our senses as we embarked on our tour. We waltzed through the breathtaking nave, noting the intricate architecture while hearing fascinating stories of the famous royals and historical figures buried within.

Exploring the cloisters and chapels, I felt a sense of awe and reverence wash over me. From the striking stained glass windows to the intricate stone carvings, every detail of Westminster Abbey seemed to exude a sense of grandeur and majesty. I fondly remembered watching the marriages of Prince William and Kate, as well as Prince Harry and Meghan from the comfort of my couch, while imagining the very place that we now stood within. Royalty regularly frequented this space and that realization made the moment tender and humbling for us. At the top of each hour the chapel paused for prayer, and Kirk and I couldn’t resist taking part!

From chats with local ministers to a moment of prayer in one of the oldest chapels within its walls, we relished the holy and sacred space, acknowledging that this visit would remain etched in our hearts for years to come. The Westminster Abbey tour was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience that left us inspired and in awe of the rich heritage of this iconic British landmark.
